Shrutarshi Ray clear first at 1st Shailkupa International Rating 2026
Shrutarshi Ray scored an unbeaten 6/7 to win 1st Shailkupa International Round-Robin Rating 2026. He finished a full point ahead of the rest. Md. Muhimenul Islam (BAN) scored 5/7 to secure second place. Md. Shafiqul Islam (BAN) scored 4.5/7 to finish third. The top three prizes were Tk 6000, 4000 and 3000 each.

Shrutarshi Ray scored an unbeaten 6/7, finished a full point ahead of the rest and gained 36 Elo rating points
A total of eight players took part from Bangladesh and one from India. The two-day seven-round Round-Robin Rating tournament was organized by Shailkupa Chess Club at Atithi Restaurant and Community Centre in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh on 30th January and 1st February 2026. The time control of the tournament was 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
