Christian Gloeckler prevails at Fagernes Autumn Blitz 2026, Moksh Amit Doshi second
IM Christian Gloeckler scored 7.5/9 to win Fagernes Autumn Blitz 2026. IM Moksh Amit Doshi scored sole 6.5/9 to secure second place.
Five Indians in top ten
IM Christian Gloeckler (GER) already scored a GM-norm in the Classical event. This is his second Blitz event triumph at Fagernes Autumn 2026. GM Elham Amar (NOR), GM Arjun Kalyan, FM Sarbartho Mani, GM Aksel Bu Kvaløy (NOR) and FM Jacob Templen Grave (NOR) scored 6/9 each. They were placed third to seventh respectively according to tie-breaks. FM Charvi A and IM Sharan Rao scored 5.5/9 each. They secured ninth and tenth place respectively.

A total of 34 players including four GMs, four IMs and a WGM took part from seven countries across the world. The one-day nine-round Blitz Rating tournament was organized by IO Hans Olav Lahlum in cooperation with Sotra Sjakklubb at Hotel Scandic Valdres in Fagernes, Norway on 9th October 2026. The time control of the tournament was 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment.
