Sylvain Carre (FRA) and FM Ashwath R scored an unbeaten 4.5/5 each at Lugano-Paradiso 2day “Picchi Memorial” Below 2400 Rating Tournament 2026. Sylvain won the tournament on tie-breaks, Ashwath was placed second. Noe Python (SUI) was placed third scoring 4/5. The total prize fund was CHF 2450. The top three prizes were CHF 500, 300 and 250.

A total of 44 player including an IM took part from eleven countries across the world. The two-day five-round Below 2400 Rating tournament was organized by Claudio Boschetti – Swiss CHess Tour at Sala Multiuso in Lugano-Paradiso, Switzerland on 28th February and 1st March 2026. The time control of the tournament was 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
