Jagreet Mishra dominates 2nd BPCL Bina Refinery Rapid Rating Open 2026
Jagreet Mishra scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 to win 2nd BPCL Bina Refinery Rapid Rating Open 2026.
Jagreet’s second overall, first rating tournament triumph of the year
The reigning Delhi State Amateur 2026 champion, Jagreet Mishra was the sole leader at 7.5/8, going into the final round. Vedant Bhardwaj, Vaibhav Nema, Bateshwar Singh Yadav and Yuvraj Jaiswal were trailing by a half point at 7/8 each. Bateshwar lost to 13-year-old Jagreet and the latter became the champion. Vedant defeated Sourabh Uikey to finish second. Vaibhav drew against Yuvraj and the former was placed third.
The total prize fund was ₹150000. The top three prizes were ₹15000, ₹11000 and ₹8000 along with a trophy each.

A total of 227 players took part from all over the country. The two-day nine-round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by Samanvay Mandapan in collaboration with Jila Shatranj Sangh, Sagar at Punjabi Bhawan in Bina, Madhya Pradesh on 6th and 7th June 2026. The time control of the tournament was 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment.
