10-year-old Sanjith Bhat scored a perfect 5/5 to win Nordstrand GP Langsjakk Group C Below 1600 Rating 2026. The top three prizes in Group C were NOK 3000, 2000 and 1000.
Sanjith’s first rating tournament triumph of his career
Sanjith Bhat and Matias Århus Fossheim (NOR) made a perfect start by winning four games in-a-row. Sanjith defeated Matias to become a clear champion.

A total of 46 players took part in Group C (<1600). The three-day five-round Below 1600 Rating tournament was organized by Nordstrand chess club at Lambertseter gård in Oslo, Norway from 24th to 26th April 2026. The time control of the tournament was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
