3rd Jönköping Chess Festival 2026 will take place from 25th July to 1st August 2026.

This July, participate at a chess festival in Sweden

This year 3rd Jönköping Chess Festival has nine tournaments in total, an increase of two from the previous edition. The new events are – Bullet Chess and Dice Chess tournaments.

Events, Venue, Date and Eligibility

There are a total of nine tournaments – Classical, Classical Under-1800, Rapid Rating Open, Rapid Rating Women, Blitz Rating Open, Bullet Open, Amateur, Dice Chess and Family Tournament. All of them will take place at Scandic Elmia Hotel in Jönköping, Sweden. Classical rating tournament will take place from 25th July to 1st August 2026. The top three prizes are SEK 11111 + Cup + Medal, 6666 + Medal and 4444 + Medal. For more details, check the images below.

Schedule

The festival starts with Rapid Women Rating and Blitz Rating Open on 25th July 2026. After nine tournaments, the festival concludes on 1st August 2026.
