3rd UzChess Cup Masters 2026: Vokhidov ends Madaminov’s winning streak
Shamsiddin Vokhidov scored the sole win of Round 3 against Mukhiddin Madaminov at 3rd UzChess Cup Masters 2026.

Shamsiddin Vokhidov ended Mukhiddin Madaminov’s winning streak. The remaining four games ended in draws. After an exciting Round 2 in the Masters, the third round was a relatively quiet one. After suffering two losses, Vidit Gujrathi drew his game against Nodirbek Abdusattorov. Arjun Erigaisi shared the point against World Rapid 2013 champion, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

Shamsiddin Vokhidov (UZB, 2637) and Mukhiddin Madaminov (UZB, 2586) have played plenty of Classical rated games against each other, eleven to be exact. Vokhidov won five and the remaining six ended in draws. This time also, Vokhidov won. A minute mistake in the queen endgame is all Vokhidov needed to turn things in his favor.

40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes for the rest of the game with 30 seconds increment starting frtom move one in Masters. For Challengers, Futures and Open, the time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
Prizes
The total prize fund combining Masters, Challengers and Futures is US$ 215000. Masters has $150000, Challengers $50000 and Futures $15000.

Every day from 7th to 15th June 2026, the round starts at 3 p.m. local time, 3:30 p.m. IST. Only the last round will start at 11 a.m. local time, 11:30 a.m. IST.
