7th Stepan Avagyan Memorial 2026: Sevian, Artemiev and Nihal in a three-way lead
Samuel Sevian defeated compatriot Ray Robson in Round 7 to join the lead with Vladislav Artemiev and Nihal Sarin.
Sevian replaces Robson at the front
The defending champion, Aravindh Chithambaram played a relatively calm draw against one of the three leaders, Nihal Sarin in the sixth round. In Round 7, Nihal had a relatively quiet draw against Robert Hovhannisyan (ARM). Aravindh drew against Aram Hakobyan (ARM) in Ruy Lopez Berlin. Samuel Sevian (USA), Vladislav Artemiev and Nihal are in a three-way lead at 4/7 each.
