Luca Moroni Jr. prevails at 24th Prague Open 2026, Neelash Saha second
GM Luca Moroni Jr. (ITA) scored an unbeaten 7.5/9 to win 24th Prague Open A 2026. IM Neelash Saha and FM Maksym Pankiv (UKR) scored 7/9 each. They secured second and third place respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund in Open A was CZK 70000. The top three prizes were CZK 20000, 15000 and 10000 each respectively.

A total of 150 players including 5 GMs, 8 IMs and a WGM took part from 32 countries across the world in Open A category. The eight-day nine round Rating Open tournament was organized by AVE Chess z.s. at Olympik Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic from 9th to 16th January 2026. The time control of the event was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
