IM Sanket Chakravarty and GM Alexandre Dgebuadze (BEL) scored 6/7 each at 2nd Orchies Pévèle-Carembault Below 2400 Rating 2026. Sanket won the tournament on tie-breaks, Alexandre secured second place. Hubert Hareux (FRA), Victor Dobrowolski (FRA) and Arman Sarkisian (BEL) scored 5.5/7 each. They were placed third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Sanket’s first tournament triumph of the year

IM Sanket Chakravarty was the sole leader 5.5/6, heading into the final round. Hubert Hareux (FRA), GM Alexandre Dgebuadze (BEL) and Aayush Ganguly (BEL) were trailing by a half point at 5/6 each. Sanket drew against Hubert to win the tournament.

The total prize fund was €2200. First two prizes were €700 and €450.

A total of 88 players including a GM and an IM took part from nine countries across the world. The three-day seven-round Below 2400 Rating tournament was organized by Léo Ruckebush at School Restaurant room in Orchies, France from 1st to 3rd May 2026. The time control of the tournament was 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
