Raghav Srivathsav triumphs at 11th Noisiel Open B Below 2000 Rating 2026, Anish Ramkumar third
Raghav Srivathsav V, Yamina Seite (FRA), Anish Ramkumar and Mikhail Tsarkou scored 7.5/9 each at 11th Noisiel Open B (<2000) Rating 2026. Raghav won the tournament on tie-breaks. The remaining three were placed second to fourth respectively. Total prize fund was €2600 in Open B. The top three prizes were €700, €500 and €400.
Raghav’s fourth tournament triumph of the year
Anish Ramkumar was the sole leader 7.5/8, heading into the final round of Open B (<2000). Five players – Yamina Seite (FRA), Raghav Srivathsav V, Alicia Randrianarimanana, Ayaan Arora and Mikhail Tsarkou were trailing by a full point at 6.5/8 each. Yamina defeated Anish to finish second and the latter claimed third place. Raghav won against Alicia to become the champion. This is Raghav’s third consecutive triumph in France in April 2026.
GM Sergey Fedorchuk (UKR), GM Peng Li Min (SUI), IM Marco Materia (FRA) and Alexandre Bacrot (FRA) scored 6.5/9 each in Open A (>2000). Fedorchuk won the tournament and the remaining three were placed second, third and fourth respectively according to tie-breaks. IM Sanket Chakravarty, IM Muthaiah Al and FM Vedant Panesar scored 6/9 each. They secured fifth, eighth and ninth place according to tie-breaks.

Speech by the Chief Organizer of the 11th Noisiel International Chess Open, and President of Noisiel Échecs
It is a great pleasure for me, for the entire Noisiel team, and for the City of Noisiel to have welcomed you to this multi-purpose sports hall at La Ferme du Buisson for six days, from April 18, 2026 until this afternoon.
We are simply delighted that 240 players from 26 countries and 4 continents took part in this tournament, which is one of the few classical time-control events in the Île-de-France region that offers the opportunity to achieve IM and GM title norms. The French player Alexander BACROT made an IM-norm. He is son of the well-known French GM and 6 times French champion Etienne BACROT.
I would like to thank the City of Noisiel, represented on this occasion by the 2nd and 3rd Deputy Mayors, Mr Sithal TIENG and Mrs. Mahdia NADJARI, as well as all the elected officials, for providing this venue and all the associated logistics. Several municipal departments contributed to the successful organization of this tournament. The city is a partner, along with the Seine-et-Marne Department and the company Eiffage—a public works company—which together funded between 15% and 20% of the tournament’s budget.

It is important to highlight that the Seine-et-Marne Department has sponsored all 11 international Opens, while Eiffage has been supporting us for the past four years. We thank them warmly. Eiffage is represented today by Mr. Sylvain Borodacz, Head of Operations. The Department’s councilors have sent their apologies for their absence.

The tournament is funded in part by participants’ entry fees (50%), completed by all these sponsors.
A total of € 11 000 were distributed for the 3 opens and the blitz tournament. €1800, €1200; €800 were distributed to the 3 first players of Open A, €700, €500, €400 were distributed to the first three players of Open B and €400, €300 and €200 to the first three players. For the blitz tournament, €400, €300 and €200 were distributed.

Many thanks to all the volunteers, both from within and outside the club, as well as to the arbiters led by International Arbiter Jocelyn Azzegag. A special mention also goes to Bernard Viannet, who sells chess books and equipment, and to Ahmed, the caretaker of this facility.

At the end of the prize-giving ceremony, the club honored several individuals with commemorative plaques: Jocelyn Azzegag, for his service over the 11 years of the tournament—mainly as arbiter, also as a player in two editions, and as organizer of one Open during the COVID period—as well as three women: Laetitia Perruquon, for participating in all 11 international Opens; Céline Prum, the club’s treasurer and volunteer; and Hulya Gulal—both of whom have actively contributed to running the refreshment stand at several tournaments in Noisiel.

A friendly reception was organized after the prize ceremony.
Although I am the founder and chief organizer of these Opens, I truly feel that I am part of a team of volunteers who support me tremendously before, during, and after the event. This support comes largely from within the club, but also from outside it.
