GM Filip Haring (SVK) scored an unbeaten 6.5/9 to win Ceske Budejovice 2026 GM Round-Robin. IM Ajay Santhosh Parvathareddy also scored the same. He was placed second according to tie-breaks.. Ajay earned his second GM-norm in the process. IM Magnus Ermitsch (GER) scored 5.5/9 to finish third. Since he already got a published 2500+ rating in June 2026 FIDE Rating list, he is now final GM-norm away from becoming India’s next Grandmaster.
10-year-old Sriiyukthaa Marksim Karki Abirami scored an unbeaten 8/9 to win Open B (≤2000). She scored an unbeaten 8/9 and finished a full point ahead of the rest. In this event, she is gaining 170 Elo rating points. In July 2026 FIDE Rating list, she gained a staggering 307.6 Elo rating points.
The top three prizes in Open B were CZK 10000, 8000 and 5000 along with a cup each.

The nine-day nine-round Round-Robin Rating tournament was organized by Chess University QCC České Budějovice.at Clarion Congress Hotel **** in České Budějovice, Czech Republic from 30th June to 8th July 2026. The time control of the tournament was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
