Sarbartho Mani clinches Don Giovanni Grand Prix at Prague International Chess Festival 2026
CM Sarbartho Mani scored 897 points in total to win Don Giovanni Grand Prix at Prague International Chess Festival 2026. The last Indian to win this was IM P Saravana Krishnan back in 2024. Sarbartho finished 136 points ahead of the rest. FM Reyaansh Chakrabarty (AUS) scored 761 to secure second place. GM Zhao Jun (CHN) scored 683 to claim third.

The FIDE World Cup Cadet Under-10 Open 2025 Gold medalist, Sarbartho Mani took part in five different events at Prague International Chess Festival 2026. We reported a few days ago about him winning the H Blitz Rating Open. He also teamed up with 11-year-old FM Reyaansh Chakrabarty (AUS) in the K Pair Blitz event. They scored 18/22 and finished third on tie-breaks. Both Sarbartho and Reyaansh will be the talents to watch in the years to come and who knows one-day they will play in the Challengers and Masters too.

Winning the entire Don Giovanni GP, getting a special autographed t-shirt and getting photographed with World’s top players is certainly a great memory for Sarbartho from this fantastic chess festival.
