Aditya Savalkar victorious at Vish: 2nd Makarand Aaba Patil Chashak Rapid Rating Open 2026
Aditya Savalkar scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 to win Vish: 2nd Makarand Aaba Patil Chashak Rapid Rating Open 2026. CM Ashish Chaudhari also scored the same. However, he finished second on tie-breaks.
Aditya’s sixth overall, first rating tournament triumph of the year
The top seed of the event – Aditya Savalkar and CM Ashish Chaudhari were coleaders at 7.5/8 each, heading into the final round. Aditya defeated Mihir Sarvade to become the champion. Ashish won against Suyog Wadke to secure second place. Saniya Rafique Tadavi lost to Keval Nirgun who finished third scoring 8/9.
The total prize fund was ₹150000. The top three prizes were ₹15000, ₹10000 and ₹7000 along with a trophy each.

Aditya Savalkar scored an unbeaten 8.5/9, won the tournament on tie-breaks and gained 28.6 Elo rating points
A total of 332 players took part from various parts of Maharashtra and a few from other states. The one-day nine-round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by Vishwaganga Pratishthan, Satara, MH at Viraj Multipurpose Hall in Pargaon-Khandala, Maharashtra on 9th August 2026. The time control of the tournament was 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment.
