Aminul Islam wins BCF Rating Open 2026, Priyanshu Barua third
FM Khandaker Aminul Islam (BAN) and Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan (BAN) scored 8/9 each at BCF Rating Open 2026. Aminul became champion on tie-breaks, Mostafa second. Priyanshu Barua scored 7/9 to finish third.
Two Indians in top five
Priyanshu Barua, Feroz Ahmed (BAN), Saurabh Choubey and CM Sohel Chowdhury scored 7/9 each. They were placed third to sixth respectively according to tie-breaks. Priyanshu and Sourabh gained 42.4 and 15.2 Elo rating points.
The top three prizes were Tk 50000, 30000 and 20000 respectively.

A total of 145 players including a WIM took part from various parts of Bangladesh and five from India. The seven-day nine-round Rating Open tournament was organized by FT Md. Taibur Rahman at Bangladesh Chess Federation in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 19th to 25th April 2026. The time control of the tournament was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
