IM C R G Krishna scored 22.5/27 to convincingly clinch Signet Bank Rapid and Blitz Rating Biathlon part of 5th Chess Festival Cēsis 2026.

IM C R G Krishna scored 22.5/27 to win Signet Bank Rapid and Blitz Rating Biathlon part of 5th Chess Festival Cēsis 2026. GM S Rohith Krishna scored 22/27 to finish second. GM Vitaly Sivuk (SWE) was placed third scoring 21.5/27. C R G scored 7.5/9 in Rapid and 15/18 in Blitz.
The total prize fund was €2220. The top three prizes were €500, €300 and €200 along with a medal each respectively.

A total of 144 players including five GMs, an IM and a WGM took part from nine countries across the world in the Rapid Rating Open event. The one-day nine-round Rapid tournament was organized byJānis Vingris at Konrad’s quarter in Cēsis, Latvia on 20th June 2026. The time control was 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment.

The one-day 18-round Blitz tournament was organized by Jānis Vingris at Konrad’s quarter in Cēsis, Latvia on 21st June 2026. The time control was 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment.
