Harshit Raja clinches Tirol Open for the second consecutive year
GM Harshit Raja and FM Tobias Kolb scored 7/9 each at Tirol Open 2026. Harshit won Tirol Open 2026 on tie-breaks for the second year in-a-row with the same exact score.
Harshit’s fourth triumph of the year
GM Harshit Raja and FM Tobias Kolb (GER) were coleaders at 6.5/8 each. GM Philipp Schlosser (GER) drew against Harshit and the latter became the champion. Tobias shared the point with GM Nikolaus Stanec (AUT), the former finished second and the latter third.
The top three prizes were €1100, €800 and €600 with a trophy each.

A total of 57 players including three GMs took part from eight countries across the world. The eight-day nine-round Rating Group A (≥1800) tournament was organized by Tyrolean Chess Association at Haus der Begegnung in Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria from 22nd to 29th August 2026. The time control of the tournament was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
