Tobias Kolb, Harshit Raja and Oliver Stork share first place at 1st Maasch and Kirsch Schachfestival 2026
FM Tobias Kolb (GER), GM Harshit Raja and IM Oliver Stork (GER) scored an unbeaten 4/5 each at 1st Maasch and Kirsch Schachfestival 2026. They shared first place among them. The top three prizes were €2000, €1000 and €500 each.
Harshit’s third podium finish of the year
After winning Lone Star Open 2026, Harshit won Muenster Ostern Open A 2026 in Muenster, Germany scoring an unbeaten 7.5/9. It was held from 27th to 31st March. Then he shared first place at the inaugural edition of Maasch and Kirsch Schachfestival 2026 with FM Tobias Kolb and IM Oliver Stork.
The festival witnessed a combined total participation of 178 – 36 in Open A (≥2000), 63 in Open B (1500-1999), 19 in Open C (≤1599), 24 in Blitz and 36 in Rapid

A total of 36 players including a GM, 3 IMs and a WIM took part from 11 countries across the world. The three-day five-round Rating Open A (≥2000) tournament was organized by Maasch & Kirsch GmbH & Co. KG at Bürgerhaus in Burghausen, Germany from 17th to 19th April 2026. The time control of the tournament was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 15 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
