Pouya Idani prevails at 1st Lecci Open 2026, Pranesh second
GM Pouya Idani (IRI) scored an unbeaten 7/9 to win 1st Lecci Open 2026. GM Pranesh M, GM Elham Amar (NOR), GM Loek van Wely (NED), GM Karthikeyan Murali and GM Rinat Jumabayev (KAZ) scored 6.5/9. They were placed second to sixth respectively according to tie-breaks.
Two Indians in top five
The total participation in the inaugural edition was 177 – 75 in Open A, 69 in Open B and 33 in Open C.
The total prize fund was €32000. The top three prizes were €8500, €5500 and €3500.

A total of 75 players including 24 GMs, 20 IMs took part from 18 countries across the world in Group A (>2100). The seven-day nine-round Group A (>2100) Rating tournament was organized by Association A torra di Sogno at Campsite Golfo Di Sogno in Corsica, France from 11th to 17th May 2026. The time control of the tournament was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment.
